About

Christians today live in a unique time in history. Rapid developments in science and technology have transformed the way we order our lives, interact with others, and connect with our environment. Information travels at lightning speed. More than ever before, the world has become smaller and flatter.

With these changes come unique challenges to "ordinary" Christians living in these "extraordinary" times. These include the accessibility of pornography, the deluge of entertainment and distraction, and the popularity of theological relativism. We receive messages that God wants us to be extraordinary or radical, yet most of us live very ordinary and mundane lives. Tackling these problems often overwhelm us. Can we really serve God this way, or is serious Christian living really just for pastors and missionaries?

These are some questions that Tim Challies, author and blogger, will address in "Live It Well", a conference that seeks to encourage believers to live faithful Christian lives in these postmodern times. Drawing largely from 1 Thessalonians 4:1–12, Tim will also speak about technology, living free from guilt and shame, honoring God’s Word, growing old with grace, and many other relevant issues that believers encounter.
